The
quantity you wish to purchase means how many sets of the ad we are
buying. As the balance of my account will only allow me to purchase the
ad once, there is a 1 displayed in the field next to it. If you were to
advertise to sites, your site and your favourite program you would
select a quantity of 2, below that you would then see two sets of ad
details, labelled 1 and 2 accordingly. As we are only purchasing 1 with
balance we will enter the details;
Your
Comments & Notes: This is where I put the name of the site being
advertised. Sometimes your banner will not load when displayed. This is
only a rare occurrence and only for a short while, perhaps because the
site hosting the banner (Photobucket in your case) may be doing some
work on their server, meaning that site is off-line for a few minutes.
The link to the site will still be displayed, but only in text form as
access to the banner is temporarily unavailable. So you will see
something called "Alternative Text", this will be whatever is written
in the "Your comments & notes section", which people will click on
instead of the banner. Because of this, I think it is important to tell
your visitor what site they are about to visit. You may need access to
this advert at some time in the future and this is the field that the
program owner would use to find that add, and then alter it as per your
wishes. This also means it is easier if you can remember what you
entered in this box.
Ad description: We
would simply enter the type of ad we wish to run, in this case a
banner, so in that box we would put PTC Banner, if it were an email or
text link we would alter it accordingly.
Paid
link URL: This is the place you want the visitor to go to, in this case
my site so here we enter, http://www.internet-earners.com or, if you
were advertising one of the sites you are a member of, it would be your
ref link.
Banner URL: This is the place you enter the Photobucket link for the appropriate banner.
When
you have entered the relevant information just click "Send Advertising
Request" and you have purchased your first set of advertising!The
above method is the same for running banner and text link advertising,
you would just see a field for the text of the advert to be entered in
place of the Banner URL option. |

The
other way in which you will advertise is by email. The "Ad details" and
"Quantity" section would remain the same. The only difference is that
you have a large "Ad Text" field instead of the Banner URL field. So we
would do the following;
Your Comments &
Notes: Enter the title of the email ad, this is what would be displayed
in the persons in-box before they open the mail. Again I use the name
of the site here.
Ad Description: Email Ad, because that is the type of ad this is.
Paid link URL: Again its either your sites address or your ref link for the site you are advertising.
Ad Text: Now this is where we enter the text of the ad, in my case the following;

You may wish to write this out in the same document that has your ref
and banner links, then you have everything need for running any type of
advertising all in one place. The only thing you have to do then is
copy and paste the relevant info, no need to keep writing everything
